It is our aim that your child can learn
successfully and acquire all the skills necessary
to succeed in the 21st century.
We want your child to achieve their full
potential and take their place with confidence
as caring and highly skilled individuals
within the community.
We want this to happen in the secure,
positive, caring environment that has
always characterised The Northicote School.
The local authority's decision to build an
academy in 2012 to house the Pendeford and Northicote
schools has moved a step further. The first step is to
create a 'Soft Federation'. This constitutes two schools
working together with a common purpose. The federation
is managed by a group of Governors with representatives
from each school.
The Chair of the group is Mr R. Horsnby,
the Chair of Northicote Governing Body
Two new super Schools will be created and a dozen
refurbished or rebuilt in a £300 Million education
revolution for Wolverhampton.
An academy will be built in the city to replace
Pendeford and Northicote schools.
City education chiefs have now submitted more
detailed plans under the Building schools for the
future programme which they hope will also win an
approval from Whitehall before work begins.
